  1. The HT has a capacity of 1880 litres. I was in the same opinion as you with respect to the amount of Peroxisane used, but this was instructed to me directly by the people at perexisane. You may have a point with the weekly filter change out. The dealer who sold us the HT is promoting these 1 micron disposable filters that are suppose to last 3 months. I will do as you suggested, change the filter weekly, I hope this help. The filtration is set same frequency/duration as yours, plus each time that I am outside the vicinity of the HT, if the pump is not running, I start it up. So it is getting plenty of daily filtration time. The people at peroxisane mentioned that it was preferable to run the pump at low speed 24/7. This is, I think, somewhat taxing on the equipment. I think our well water may be the possible culprit. As I mentioned in my first tread, to refill the entire tub we get the water trucked in (city water), but the make up water is supply from the well. It seems that I am having water problem each time I do that. I am looking at using Aqua-Finesse. I will make a decision in the next couple days. In the mean time the tub is ready for another refill. I will let you know how I am making out. Jacques
  2. At this point in time I am willing to try anything. Could you tell me more about using the Nitro's Dichlor method or could you tell me where I could find further information? Thanks Jacques
  3. We're using 1 litre one week and 2 litres the next. Initially 4 litres of Peroxisane was added. The Arctic Spa Summit's capacity is 1880 litres. The disposable filters, according to the distributor, are suppose to last 2-3 months. Sounds like this may be one of my problem. Nothing was mentioned to me about detox chemical, could you tell me more about it? What is the procedure and how long did it take to clear? Are you still using peroxide? Last time I checked (2 hours ago), the reading was between 200 to 300 ppm. I am willing to try anything right now before switching to an alternate product. We have not used the tub in approximately 2 weeks and we are getting some what impatient. Jacques
  4. This is my first time posting on this type of forum, so please be easy on me. I have no chemistry background and new to the Hot Tub lingo. I have purchased an Arctic Spa Summit last fall, we love it and we are sold on the use of Hot Tubs. We are using Peroxisan. This has been a troublesome experience from the beginning. After changing the water a least every 1 to 2 months, unable to keep the water in pristine condition, the water often turning cloudy and smelly, it is time to change product. We are on a well so the water is being trucked in every time a refill is required. As instructed by the experts on this product, I have added bleach, increased the weekly dose of the Peroxisan, changed those expensive disposable filters still without much success. The water quality only stay in a acceptable state for a short period of time. I do not think the HT is being overused. It is only my wife and I, 2 to 3 time a week. Because of chemical sensitivity issues we are considering to change to Aqua Finesse with a slow release of chlorine. So here are my questions: Has any one being successful using Aqua Finesse? How do I thoroughly sanitize the HT before using the new product? What will I need in terms of equipment to test the water and what to look for when testing? (the equipment recommended with the peroxisane was those inaccurate and hard to read strips). From what I read in this forum the sole use of strips just doesn't cut it. Are disposable filters adequate or should I purchase reusable filters? Your comments and recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Jacques
