  1. In need of a little help here guys and gals. I presently use soft soak and I'm happy with it's performance. The down side is all the other solutions I have to use along with it to stabalize the water. Someone suggested I try Rainforest Blue instead this season. They claim, after they setup the tub for the season, all they add is a bi-weekly shock and that's it. Does this sound right ?? I haven't started our hot tub yet but, will do so in a couple weeks. Thanks in advance........
  2. I've had my D1 Diplomat since October and it's the best investment I've ever made. The motors are powerful, neck jets are great and the therapy seat is second to none. You won't be disappointed with a D1.
  3. Now that you're enjoying the D1 Diplomat, remember me telling you how theraputic the total massage seat was? I LOVE mine and, I think you'll feel the same way. What are you using for chemicals ???
  4. You're gonna LOVE your Diplomat, Hoopy. We love ours. Mine is on a deck so I have NO USEFUL info as to the gravel but, as many have said already, give it a box frame. Enjoy partner and, if you need any info from me about the D1 Diplomat, I'm here for you.
  5. A rain shower in Michigan in February cut my spa time in half. Not so much the rain as the distant thunder. Oh well. At any rate, I tried out every seat and, like a great theater, there's not a bad seat in the house. The ONLY problem I had tonite was that with both motors on high, the colored light cover blew off. Now, that's no big deal to me. Especially when I could pop it back on and it stayed there. Let me know if you need any other assistance with your new purchase. I can't stop raving.....
  6. Hoopy, I have been using my diplomat almost daily since Nov.1st and here is what I've observed. The neck jets are powerful, adjustable and the pillows are comfortable. I love the fact that they can be raised or lowered to accomodate different height people, too. I adjust mine several times in the course of my soaks, picking on different muscle groups and the different ways you can sit in their lounge chairs. I have 4-5 positions I sit in, in the lounger alone. The therapy seat kick b_tt !!! You won't believe how it massages your poor, aching muscles. I'll tell you this Hoopy, the neck jet pillows are put to the paces here and they perform like a thoroughbred (sp). Don't let a couple stories make you wonder otherwise. Gotta run..it's spa time........LOL
  7. Hoopy, I too, was a little concerned about the neck flex jets on the D1's until I took the wet test. Adjustable neck jets and pillows make a world of difference to individual users. It's like,"have it your way" therapy for the neck and shoulders. My Diplomat has two adj. neck jet pillows and the therapy total therapy seat is the best seat I have ever sat in, in any spa. Not that I hog it, far from it. You have to kick me out of the lounger. LOL I can't say enough about the D1 Diplomat. It's up to you to decide.
  8. After months of looking, testing and dealing we decided one the Dimension One Diplomat. Nothing else in the price range ($5285) came close. It's as powerful as an elephant. The high speed jets are incredible and as soooooooooothing as a momma's voice. We got the stiple shell with matching light brown top. The dealer set it up and came back the next day to see how we were enjoying it? How's that for service? All I can say is, what an awesome spa. I wish I didn't have to work.... spare time is always in the tub, LOL. Thanks to all who helped us decide.
  9. How many choices are there around this price point for the Artesian spas?? You don't need to quote pricing, just let me know which models (standard and deluxe) are within my reach. Thanks in advance.
  10. Yeah, you guys are right. It's a UV and no blue color coming from tube at all. I'll leave it there and have a new one installed on my new purchase. Thanks again.
  11. I'm selling my house and Emerald hot tub stays there. My question is, can I pull the ozone from the 8 year old hot tub and install it on my new purchase, if it doesn't have one already? If so, how do I cap off the ozone jet in the tub?? Thanks again in advance.
  12. Thanks for the assurance, stl rex. They can order them from the warehouse(Colemans), and have them there in less than a week. They won't be demo's, floor models. I'm now torn between the 471 and 481. I haven't asked about an ozonater yet but, I'm gonna try to make that part of the deal. We also want the lifter by Coleman. Any room for them to play with that price as well?? Thre insulation package looks top notch, with the walls backed the way they are.
  13. After calling around and trying to find a Sundance Altamar on sale, I tossed that choice out. The remaining 3 were wet tested today and they were the Dimension one Diplomat, tested OK, powerful jet action but, hard to move from seat to seat and the adjustable neck pillows looked cheesy and fragile. Then I tested the Coleman line-up. The prices I quoted here earlier were not standard packages, to my delight the spa salesperson showed me they were for the deluxe versions. The Colemans had a steel frame and the same warranty. Am I missing something here?? What do you think of the Coleman spas, or, give me some pointers here guys and gals. Thanks in advance.
  14. I have an Emerald 595 but, we have sold the house and need a new one at our new home. I have narrowes my search down to four choices. Any input would be very helpful, the good, the bad and indifferent. My "FINAL FOUR" are; 1) Dimension one Diplomat (clearance priced @5625) 2) Coleman 471, standard package (priced @5450) 3) Coleman 481, standard package (priced @5880) 4) Sundance Altamar, standard package, no price quote, yet. I'm leaning towards the D1 as the price is very, very good for this model but, perhaps you could persuade me otherwise. Thanks in advance. I need answers soon, moving in less than 2 weeks.
