  1. Also the ladder came with a 'fin' on it. Anyone know what this is for?
  2. So we finally got our pool ready for use!!! And we have no way in! lol The ladder that came with our pool doesn't seem to work. Our pool required a bowl in the middle and the ladder reaches it so it is not on level ground. Also the screws to go through the top of the ladder and the rim don't seem long enough. Has this happened to anyone else? Are there differant sizes of ladders? We have an A fram ladder and a Vogue Oceania round. Thanks!
  3. I learned something new this year. If someone spends time in a lake and then in your pool they can bring with them the green gremlin! Everything should be totally disinfected 'tween lake and pool. Not sure if this is relevent to you but it was to me.
  4. Yes I guess we should have done that. As we fill it the sag gets less and less. I don't have a picture. The screws for the faceplate went through liner on all four corners but not quite in two of the bottoms holes. My husband is hoping that the pressure from the gasket in the skimmer will be enough to stop a leak . . .
  5. ahk! We filled our pool with 2 feet of water and then cut the liner for the skimmer and it's sagging!! There is a noticable sag in the liner under the skimmer. Is this normal is it going to leak? It is an above ground vogue oceania. Thanks so much for any replies.
  6. Thanks for the reply. I guess I should clarify, it's close but it's definately more than four feet. I'd say about 10. Also this configuration puts the pump and heater closer to the pool than our original plan, so I guess that's a plus. Just worried about the noise. We got a salt water generator and I think it runs all the time . . .
  7. We just got our quote back from the electrician for running electrical wire to the back of our yard and well, it's a little high. We have another option, keeping everything close to the house but that would mean putting the pump and heater etc. under our bedroom window. Can anyone give me an idea of how loud they are. We will be running a 100,000 btu Hayward heater and a 1.5 hp pump.
  8. Imnay, we are thinking of buying an above ground pool package. We have upgraded to a cartridge filter and a 1 1 1/2 hp Two-speed Pump. It comes with a Hayward 100,000 btu heater (21' pool) and an Aqua Trol Salt Chloring Generator. In your opinion is that good enough? Is there anymore upgrading we should be looking at doing? Thanks.
