It's DE, cloudy, it doesn't shimmer in the sunlight like air bubbles would. Also, I'm certain now it only happens after bumping. If I shut the pump off, and when I restart I do not bump first, then no cloudy burst. Thanks
Hi,
We have a 24'x48" above ground pool with an old Hayward DE filter on it. It's been up and running for a few weeks, and this past week or so I noticed a 5-6 second cloudy burst coming out of the return on startup. I'm almost certain this is only after bumping. Someone at the local pool place said it could be from a cracked finger plate. Does this sound mechanical or chemistry related?
Thanks for your time.
