Thanks Pool Clown, draining pool down today to get the NACL down. I'll call and test the water with Jandy. Do you know the 1400 system well enough--with code 145 - high salt - will it shut down the cell? My salt reading seems close, the flow light is on and I get no indication that the cell is working. I have cycled the % up and down several times to see if it might kick on---no dice.

My 1400 gave me low salt light, 2.3. I added salt bag by bag to observe increase. The numbers dropped to 2.0. I removed and cleaned my sensor. Slight roughness, used steel wool to clean. Upon reinstall my salt number has dropped to .2, chlorine generator has turned off, clorine has dropped to nothing. Took sample of H20 to pool store, salt level is now at 5.0, sensor still read .2. Recalibration of salt cell per manual done, when I got to the step of setting my salt number, the sytem would not let me go below 12.0 or above .2; it would just jump from the .2 to 12. Now code HH appears and cannot be recalibrated or removed. Test of front board done per manual, all correct readings. A new sensor was installed in 4/10, of course pool place says warranty is 30 days--- Any experience on this problem? I am leaning towards a new sensor as it appears to me the sensor is giving the false readings shutting off system. I would think I should be able to recallibrate and set my high salt number and get the system working. Help from Texas Jayboy
