HI have an inground pool about 10 yrs old.having problems with green sand in the pool.i have a hayward de filter and this yr. i replaced the top and bottom plates since they were cracked.my first question is does anyone know how to test a filter for leaks.topic 2 is 3 yrs ago i had a loop lock cover installed from a pool company.when they drilled the ancours for the cover they drilled thru my return lines in 3 different spots.called the company and they came back and repaired the pipes.my question is is that sand coming from the filter or is the repairs leaking.i realy dont want to dig the pipe up because its under blocks.or should i just stop crying and start digging. any answers would greatly be apreciated since im pulling my hair out.and by the way we have had a record heat wave on long island this summer!!
