  1. Our 325 gallon spa is 14 years old. The master valve/jet -- the one we turn inside the spa (under the water line) to direct which set of jets operate -- has been frozen in place for a couple of years. I suspect calcium or other mineral deposits have locked it up. Short of replacing the valve, is there a proven method that provides some kind of chemical cleaning of buildups of mineral deposits? I know soaking shower heads in white vinegar removes deposits; is there something comparable for old spas? We replaced the pump and heater pack (replacement was unrelated to the suspected mineral buildup), so the spa otherwise runs great. We'd just like to be able to return to dialing the different jet settings. Thanks for you consideration/comments. PS: FYI, I attempted to email my query to [email protected]; that address bounced. I don't know if the bounce is an interest of yours or not, but sharing that here if it helps.
