Many Few Simple Bedroom Decorating Ideas

Icon Leave Comment
Waking up each morning to the same old bedroom scene can get to you after a while. There are times when you feel like making a few changes here and there to you surroundings. Bedroom decorating ideas don't have to include thousands of dollars of remodeling, plenty can be accomplished with a lot less cash. You can spruce up the room with a minimum amount of not only money, but also time. The following tips on decorating the bedroom don't take much time at all so complete, so they are great for people with busy lifestyles.

Rearrange

Painting can be just the answer for some. It's something that will definitely change the feel of the room. It could be that they just need to be freshened up and you like the color that they already are. You might like to go a hue lighter or darker as well. Sometimes, a complete paint job is just the ticket to really make a difference. Be sure you pick a color that you don't think you're going to be sick of after a week. If you don't have time to paint the entire room, then try just one wall in a complementary color to what the other walls are. This little change is much quicker than painting all the walls and just as effective at making a difference.

Rearrange Some Furniture

There are so many colors available in paint today and it's fun just to read all the names. You might find a color of paint with a name that really stands out in the sea of paints. Maybe the bedroom now is a simple taupe, but you found a paint card that claims to be Honey Dew Green. This seems like a very cheery color and could brighten up the room a lot. Be sure to pick a color that you like and make a test patch, just to be sure. It would be disappointing to paint the entire bedroom and then find that you really detest the green of Honey Dews.

Invest In Some New Paint

Taking time to wallpaper an entire room can be a project that takes more than a day, depending on the size of the bedroom. Some people find that it's too much work to cover every single wall with paper, so wallpapering the side of the room that is first seen upon entering is one way to cut down on time. Another way is to put wallpaper only on the bottom half of the room and running a thin border right above it. This will provide a nice break between the wallpaper and the painted surface above it.

Try A Little Rearranging

There are always sales on bed linens, especially during a change in seasons. Surprisingly, the change of seasons is often what triggers the desire to make changes around the house as well. You don't have to go out and buy a complete set of bed linens and curtains that match. Mixing up the colors or patterns a little can be exciting as well. The only limitations you might run into are making the new linens match with the wallpaper or paint that you have in your room.

Hopefully these bedroom decorating ideas have provided you with additional ways that you can spruce up your room. With the majority of your day being spent in the bedroom, there's no need be bored with what you see.
