Bypassing pressure switch on a Hot Springs no fault heater

I am replacing a bad heater on a Hot Springs spa with a "no fault" heater. Apparently the old heaters utilized a pressure switch but, the new ones do not. I have seen on some websites a special pressure switch bypass part available for about $12 BUT, wouldn't it be doing the same thing if I just connected the 2 wires together? I don't mind spending $12 but, looking to get this done sooner than later. Thanks in advance for any input.

That part is a jumper that connects on the circuit board where the previous heater's pressure switch cable was connected. It is possible to reuse the plug end from the previous heater/pressure switch by cutting it off and making it into a jumper.
