Shell Color

4 posts in this topic

We're looking to replace our tub after 15 years of service. While looking at a used tub which was a black shelled Nordic, we noticed a lot of white colored mineral spots all over the part of the shell above the water line. It may have been a case of dirty water, but it got us thinking. Is black a bad color choice for a tub shell?

Thanks

Dark colors like this will show the calcium line much more. People tend to prefer lighter colors for this reason and for the fact that lighter colors show the lighting in the spa much better at night. Otherwise, shell color is just a personal preference.

But not too light of a color because I have seen some ugly brown stains at the water line. I prefer something greyish.

We chose a light color, pearl I believe, because I like seeing the dirt to vac out. That being said, thats a good reason to hate it too!
